Nida Haider is the Managing Partner and Group Brand Strategy Director at IAL, Saatchi & Saatchi in Karachi. An English Literature graduate from Bennington College in the US, Nida has been instrumental in developing and expanding the role of Account Planning in the advertising industry in Pakistan
With almost 20 years experience at top agencies like Young & Rubicam in New York City and Goodby, Silverstein and Partners in San Francisco, Nida has assumed multiple roles from Client Services to Copywriting to Strategy throughout her career. During her time at GS&P, her team won several International advertising awards for Doritos “Crash The Super Bowl” including an Effie for business results. Doritos also made advertising history by airing the first ever consumer-generated ad for a national stage. This was an industry first, that many now follow.
In 2010, Nida joined IAL, Saatchi & Saatchi as Head of Brand Strategy. Within a year, she and her team brought home the first ever major international award won in Pakistan: the Communication Arts Advertising award for a print ad raising awareness for acid attack victims. This ad was also shortlisted for a Clio, another first for Pakistan. Additionally, she has strategically led pitches that have doubled the agency’s business in just five years.
Her passions are travel, coffee and trying to make sense of millennials.
