Asif is Chief Commercial Officer of Jazz, Pakistan’s leading telecom operator with over 56 million subscribers.

Asif led the rebrand of Mobilink to JAZZ, which was a more customer focused brand. He was then instrumental in the merger of Jazz and Warid, having successfully transferred the brand equity of Warid to build a new, reinvigorated Jazz brand.

Asif has over 25 years of experience in telecom organisations across Europe, Africa and Middle East. He is a specialist in launching services in technologically challenged & emerging markets.

Asif is a British national, with master’s degree in business Administration from Ashridge Management School, UK. Additionally, Asif is a Chartered Marketer having gained his certification in 1997. He is a global citizen having lived in multiple countries. He is fluent in English, Urdu and has a basic proficiency of Arabic and French.

Aejaz Basrai is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of professional experience in the FMCG industry including the last 18 years in senior marketing and General Management / CEO roles. He has worked with some of the leading global multinational companies such as P&G, Henkel and Colgate Palmolive across various geographies such as Pakistan, Middle East, North Africa and United States. Recently relocating to Pakistan after twenty years he has joined National Foods as the COO of their International Business and Director of National Foods Strategy & Marketing.

Aejaz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Olin School of Business, Washington University.

Sara, an experienced marketeer, began her advertising career in 2002. She has worked with several global networks namely; Saatchi & Saatchi, LOWE and JWT across multiple cities; London, Bangkok, Dubai, Karachi, and Islamabad. Her clients have included brands from varied categories such as; hair care (Sunsilk, Garnier), purified water (Nestle Pure Life), food processing & packaging (TetraPak), retail (Hyperstar, Carrefour) and electronics & digital (PEL electronics, LG) to name a few.

In January 2016 she joined JWT Pakistan as General Manager Karachi & Islamabad, where she successfully managed a diverse portfolio of clients. She is now CEO for JWT|Grey managing country operations for Pakistan.

In 2006 he was promoted as Managing Director of Group’s Marketing and Advertising Sales function. This portfolio represents 33% of Pakistan’s Ad spend Prior to joining the Jang Group, Sarmad had been associated with some of country’s leading advertising agencies including IAL/Saatchi, where he worked as Director Client Services from 1957- 93. Described as of one of Pakistan’s marketing thought leaders, Sarmad has been thrice the President of Marketing Association of Pakistan. In 1999, he was awarded the Marketing Excellence Award for his contribution in the field of marketing. He has also received the Asian Brand Leadership Award. He is presently President of the International Advertising Association’s Pakistan Chapter. Nida Haider is the Managing Partner and Group Brand Strategy Director at IAL, Saatchi & Saatchi in Karachi. An English Literature graduate from Bennington College in the US, Nida has been instrumental in developing and expanding the role of Account Planning in the advertising industry in Pakistan

With almost 20 years experience at top agencies like Young & Rubicam in New York City and Goodby, Silverstein and Partners in San Francisco, Nida has assumed multiple roles from Client Services to Copywriting to Strategy throughout her career. During her time at GS&P, her team won several International advertising awards for Doritos “Crash The Super Bowl” including an Effie for business results. Doritos also made advertising history by airing the first ever consumer-generated ad for a national stage. This was an industry first, that many now follow.

In 2010, Nida joined IAL, Saatchi & Saatchi as Head of Brand Strategy. Within a year, she and her team brought home the first ever major international award won in Pakistan: the Communication Arts Advertising award for a print ad raising awareness for acid attack victims. This ad was also shortlisted for a Clio, another first for Pakistan. Additionally, she has strategically led pitches that have doubled the agency’s business in just five years.

Moved to Pepsi in 1998 and was Country Manager for Pakistan and Afghanistan. In 2005 started Engro Foods as CEO. It became a leading FMCG company in Pakistan. Engro Foods among several performance awards, won the G20 Global Top 15 Companies award. The first Pakistani company to get this award.

In my spare time, I do mentoring and coaching for younger executives and college leavers and give motivational speeches at relevant events.
