Mr. Eqan Ali Khan has over two decades of diversified leadership experience in corporate strategy, business operations, marketing and business development. He is a growth specialist and enjoys working with multi-functional teams to develop and execute business turnaround.
He is currently the General Manager for Strategy, Business Development & Innovation and a part of the corporate leadership team at ICI Pakistan Limited. In this role, he is responsible to develop corporate strategy & growth pillars for the organization as well as lead business development initiatives and drive Innovation. Under his leadership, the company has launched EXPLORE – ICI Pakistan’s first intrapreneurship program for corporate innovation.
Prior to joining ICI Pakistan Limited, Mr. Eqan worked for Engro Corporation in various leadership positions. As Director – Consumer Staple Foods, he orchestrated the turnaround of Engro’s consumer staples business and led the launch of ‘Onaaj’, which was recognized as the ‘Best in Culinary’ by Pakistan Advertiser’s Society. As Head of Strategy, Business Development & Finance; he was instrumental in developing Engro Corporation’s strategy & growth pillars and for the successful launch of ‘Engro Rupiya’ and ‘Engro Islamic Rupiya’. As Business Head – Commodities, he delivered growth & profitability in Agribusiness as well as started operations in other commodities. He was also the Secretary of the Board Investment Committee of Engro Corporation for 4 years.
A marketer at heart, he has held various positions in Marketing & Sales through his career and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
