Seema went to Mount Holyoke College, USA and pursued academic instruction in politics, economics, literature, film…and all things wonderful. Her background combines Socio-economic Development with an expertise in Communications. She followed this up with a stint at Central St Martin’s in film. She joined the advertising business and it was love at first sight! She produced a television show on advertising “The Big Idea”, which won her the “Exceptional Contribution Award” from the Pakistan Advertising Association.
Seema taught, spoke, wrote and produced many a campaign. Won awards. Lectured at various educational institutions. Seema has also served as Council Member for the Marketing Association of Pakistan, & Special Olympics Pakistan. She is currently board member of APWA RLCC (Raana Liaquat Crafts Colony; CIRCLE – A platform to advance women’s economic participation and empowerment; & FOCUS – A platform for the business of media & entertainment. Seema has served as a juror for Communication Design & Media Studies theses at the IVSAA, Szabist, Habib University as well as juror for She Loves Tech & Nest Startup Women’s’ Weekend. Seema is also a member of the Karachi Biennale 19 Committee. Seema is involved in pro bono communication work for a number of organizations including TCF, Special Olympics, RLCC & Karawan e Hayat.
Seema is member of the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) & on the Organizing Committee for ADASIA Lahore 2019.
