Ahsan Shamim is Head of Digital & Business Operations at MSD Norway, referred as Merck in the United States and Canada & is one the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. He is part of the leadership team at MSD Norway and is responsible for the digital transformation agenda at the company.
Additionally, Ahsan is an enthusiastic global digital practitioner, with strong marketing and digital expertise from different industries. He started his career in the FMCG industry before moving to Telenor Pakistan where he worked for 5 years in both of its GSM & financial services businesses. Later he moved to its headquarters in Norway to work for Telenor Digital as Global Brand Manager. His last stint before moving to MSD was at Ekornes ASA, one of the largest home product companies in the world, as Head of Digital Marketing & e-commerce.
