Fariyha Subhani is the CEO and General Manager for Upfield South Asia. Upfield is a Global leader in organic plant-based foods and was formed in 2018, after acquisition of Unilever’s spreads business by KKR. Fariyha joined Upfield in 2018, after working 25+years with Unilever.

She joined Unilever as Management Trainee and has worked across Hair, Personal Care, Laundry, Household Care, Foods categories and also led media and market research. She has also worked in Global strategic roles based out of Bangkok. Her area of expertise is in developing consumer and customer strategies, innovation and advertising development, deployment of successful activation platforms. Besides local leadership roles, she has also served in pan-Asia Director roles, heading Omo brand and Household Care category. She was heading Food and Refreshments from 2009 to 2015 in Unilever, Director on Unilever board and CEO of UPFL. In this period Foods and ice cream businesses were turned around and growing profitably by making them fit for growth through portfolio prioritization and cost restructuring. Also created a new snacking category with Knorr noodles.

Now at Upfield since 3 ½ years, it has been a new journey of setting up an independent business, building a world class team, setting up a customer network, bringing innovations and putting the business on a sustainable and profitable path to growth across Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
