Hasan understands the emerging markets and has a background in working with policymakers, large corporations and commercial stakeholders. At HBL, Hasan leads the digital marketing team, tasked to inculcate a culture of data-driven decision making and enhancing the digital profile of the bank. Prior to HBL, he was at Telenor and has been instrumental in establishing gaming business for the Emerging Asia Cluster (Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar). Additionally, Hasan has been in the developing markets (Middle East, Africa, South Asia) for a decade-and-a-half working on business growth and category development at blue-chip companies such as Standard Chartered, Ernst & Young, International Data Corporation, and Telenor. He has done his Masters in International Business from CERAM Business School in France, an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from LUMS and a number of executive courses from LBS, INSEAD, LSE and IMD. Moreover, Hasan is a water sports enthusiast and has been part of various swimming, water polo and sailing teams as an amateur.
