Omer’s expertise spans 20 years, across both B2C and B2B strategic marketing, sales, product management and marketing communications. Omer has a solid advertising background, having worked as a group account manager with Prestige communications, early in his career.
His diverse professional journey includes experience in key leadership roles across global organizations. Omer has previously worked with Samsung Consumer Electronics, British American Tobacco and Tetra Pak as a Global Marketing Manager on a long-term international assignment based in Modena, Italy which he also considers as the highlight of his career.
During his global assignment, Omer launched the world’s first beverage carton package made entirely from renewable, plant-based materials.
His academic qualification includes a Masters in Business Administration from IoBM, Karachi and professional level certification in Product Management from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. He is also a fellow of The Leadership Trust UK and has done multiple leadership courses internationally.
At present, Omer heads Marketing, Product and Channel Management for the global lighting leader Signify (formerly Philips), based in Karachi.
