Shahnoor Ahmed is the founding Chairman and CEO of Spectrum Communications (Private) Limited. A graduate from Karachi University, he started his career in 1970 and has worked for some of Pakistan’s top advertising agencies.
Shahnoor set up Spectrum Communications, in 1978. Starting with a few clients, the agency rapidly grew with the acquisition of some of the finest blue-chip accounts: American Express Bank & Travel Services, Sandoz, Colgate-Palmolive, Mitchell’s Fruit Farms, English Biscuit Manufacturers, ABN AMRO Bank and later The Futures Group, Citibank, PIA, Chevron, LU Biscuits, etc. The agency, in a tradition set by Shahnoor, allows creative freedom and continues to attract the best talent in the country.
In 1995, Spectrum entered into an affiliation with Young & Rubicam now known as VMLY&R which is part of WPP – one of thethe world’s largest communication group. Shahnoor personally ensures the adoption of WPP’s global policies and liaises with the network on shared accounts. He is responsible for new business development, as well as overall agency management.
