Sheikh Adil Hussain is a bona fide marketing enthusiast and has spent over 20 years in the FMCG world with companies like P&G, Henkel, Shan Foods and Tapal based in Karachi, Dubai and Dusseldorf. He has led teams in local, regional and international roles being exposed to multiple international markets in GCC, MENA and the rest of the world, while managing brands such as Pampers, Vicks, Persil, Pril, DAC, Vernel, Shoop, Shan and Tapal. Upon his return to Pakistan, he co-founded a content creation agency by the name of “Wundernerf” and a facebook page by the name of “Marketing Phir Say” challenging existing notions on various marketing concepts. Adil has also briefly taught brand management at his alma mater, The IBA, and lends his time generously for Career counseling and mentoring initiatives. Currently he is the marketing director at Unilever for their Hair Care business. As a lifelong learner he has gained a 4-month diploma in Football business fundamentals from the Johan Cruyff Institute and done the Mini MBA in Marketing from the eminent professor Mark Ritson.
He has also served as an Independent Director on a couple of boards and has devoted significant time to leading a not for profit organization, Saaf Sehatmand Service Pvt. Ltd. Which promotes women economic empowerment in Pakistan’s rural areas. For the past few years, he has also been part of the Pakistan Advertisers Society’s executive council helping shape initiatives that will uplift the overall standards of our industry, and of late has started curating and hosting workshops on various topics related to marketing, Effie’s and ‘finding your why’.
